About Us

A gazebo surrounded by greenery in a park-like setting.

The Camillus Elks Lodge #31 sits on Newport Road with something most venues can't claim: real square footage and a staff that actually makes you feel at ease. Rated 4.4 stars across 86 reviews, this lodge has earned its reputation the straightforward way, by showing up for the community, keeping the building spotless, and making every event feel personal rather than transactional.

The lodge underwent a significant renovation that left it one of the newer, better-maintained facilities in the Central New York Elks network. Walk in and you'll notice the difference immediately: clean floors, a well-stocked bar area, and enough open space to host a sweet sixteen, a retirement party, or a full banquet without guests feeling like they're packed into a closet. Don, one of the bartenders regulars mention by name in reviews, sets the tone for the kind of hospitality this place runs on.

As a chapter of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, Lodge #31 carries a national legacy of charitable giving, veterans support, and youth programs, but the Camillus chapter makes it local. Every dollar spent here circles back into the community through scholarships, food drives, and outreach programs that have been running since the lodge's charter.

What We Offer

The lodge's event rental program is the open secret of Camillus party planning. The main hall accommodates large gatherings with room to spare, and the setup process is as hands-on or hands-off as you need. Renters consistently note how easy coordination is from the first phone call to the last song of the night.

The bar and lounge area serves members during regular lodge hours, with a full-service bar that keeps things social without overcomplicating the experience. Lodge membership unlocks access to weekly gatherings, Elks-sponsored dinners, and a calendar of events that gives you a reason to show up on a Tuesday.

Beyond the social calendar, Lodge #31 actively supports local veterans, runs youth scholarship programs, and participates in community service initiatives tied to the national Elks mission. Joining isn't just about the bar tab. It's about being part of something that writes checks to local kids heading to college.

"Not all lodges are equal. This lodge is fairly new and very well maintained. Really big area to throw your own event if not a member or even if you are a member. Really nice bar area. Nice place to go when they have events open to public."

"We rented the elk's space for our daughter's sweet 16. Don was the bartender and support for the party. He was so kind and made the whole experience wonderful. I was anxious getting everything set up and his presence made things easier. I would completely recommend hosting a party there. You will have a blast!"

"Excellent Lodge. Friendly, we were greeted at the door by the lodge treasure who happened to be at the lodge. The leading knight came in for dinner, sat with us until his family came in. We enjoyed their Friday night dinner. Excellent evening. Remember when you visit, bartenders are all volunteers."

The Elks gave America
Flag Day.

Long before it was a national observance, the Order set aside June 14th to honor the flag. Patriotism has always been one of our cardinal principles, and every lodge meeting still closes the same way it has for over a century.
